El Paso County Sheriff's Deputy Arrested for Sexual Contact without Consent
El Paso County Sheriff's Deputy Christopher Ramirez was arrested on Tuesday night on charges of sexual contact without consent, according to court records.
According to an arrest affidavit, Ramirez walked into a store in Security – an unincorporated town in El Paso County – with two friends on Tuesday evening and the victim said "she felt someone's hand slap her in her butt." The affidavit states that footage showed Ramirez did so just as he walked in, and he immediately turned around and walked away from her as she turned. She told responding deputies that she chased after him yelling and then punched him in the face twice.
Ramirez and his friends left before deputies arrived, but was later identified and arrested.
Ramirez was released from El Paso County Jail Wednesday on a $1,000 bond, according to court records. A protection order for the victim was also granted requiring Ramirez to refrain from communicating with her.
According to a statement from El Paso County SO, Ramirez has been employed with the office since November 2024, most recently in the Detention Security division, and has been placed on administrative leave.
