Week of January 19th: Andrew Ward, Joy Jacobs
Correction 1/26/26: According to Lawrence Pacheco, the chief communications officer for the Attorney General's Office — the office that manages the POST database — the UC Boulder Police Department submitted an "inaccurate report" to POST concerning Joy Jacobs, and her "terminated for cause" action has been removed. This change of information is reflected below, and the header image previously with her image was replaced.
Welcome to my weekly sum-up. Every Monday I send out a short summary of the last week’s officers that have landed on Colorado’s Peace Officer Standards and Training public database of law enforcement misconduct and actions. They are not necessarily all actions that have happened in the last week, but those that have been added, and consist of any other context I could find.
Few officers were added this week, but one termination for cause was added to the database three years late.
