November 17-23: James Lusk, Michael Kaiser, and more.

November 17-23: James Lusk, Michael Kaiser, and more.
Welcome to my weekly sum-up. Every Monday I send out a short summary of the last week’s officers that have landed on Colorado’s Peace Officer Standards and Training public database of law enforcement misconduct and actions. They are not necessarily all actions that have happened in the last week, but those that have been added, and consist of any other context on the other I could find.

This past week saw a group of 17 actions added to the database all on the 21st. This has been a pattern across the past year of a large chunk of actions added on one date in the month, and others trickling in. These are not just from the same month though — many of these are from months prior and some even from last year.

Small print on the POST database states that “POST Board routinely updates the database monthly,” but these actions from months ago will not be obvious by looking at the database unless looking for a specific officer, as they can only be ordered by the date the action occurred, not when it was added. This is one of many advantages of the Better POST Database accessible at Blue Surveillance.
