December 8-14: Dat Truong, John Taylor, Christopher Thomas
Welcome to my weekly sum-up. Every Monday I send out a short summary of the last week’s officers that have landed on Colorado’s Peace Officer Standards and Training public database of law enforcement misconduct and actions. They are not necessarily all actions that have happened in the last week, but those that have been added, and consist of any other context on the other I could find.

This week we have the tail-end of decertifications from the POST Board’s quarterly meeting, as well as a few criminal charges.

  • Resigned in lieu of termination for cause from Denver Police Department on Nov. 21 2024
  • POST certification suspended Dec. 5 for seven years as Colorado statute states that an officer’s certification shall be suspended  — compared to decertified — by the POST Board if the certificate holder has been convicted of a crime involving the unlawful use of physical force and the incident did not result in serious bodily injury or death to another person
